Golfers Against Cancer is saddened to announce the passing of J. Bruce Lyon, founder of the Greensboro, NC Chapter of GAC. Bruce and the Greensboro Chapter provided millions of dollars in support of basic cancer research to North Carolina research universities. Please watch the attached video of Bruce accepting the 2010 Golfers Against Cancer Person of the Year Award from Bobby Jones. This inspirational video is a fitting reminder of the importance of our fundraising activities. Bruce’s message should help all of us to redouble our efforts in support of cancer research.
