United Airlines joined GAC in 1998. Our ability to raise money for cancer research is a direct result of their commitment and involvement. United Airlines provides their support in many ways including the United 777 BBQ team that provides meals for participants during the Sunday ProAm and sponsor tournament.
The GAC auctions would not be possible without United’s donation of air travel through MileagePlus Miles or eCertificates to support many of our auctioned trips around the globe, including their unique BusinessFirst service. To our partner who “works hard and flies right” – a huge thank you for all you’ve done for GAC and our ability to generate funds for cancer research. United executives Dave Hilfman and Ken Manzo have each been the GAC Person of the Year. Ken Manzo is our constant partner and liaison. You all are the BEST!
Angels are the people and organizations who go far beyond expectations year after year to make our events and our organization successful. Here are some of our special angels and our salute to their importance.
Since 1997, the Clubs of Kingwood have been instrumental to GAC’s operations. In 2006, the Clubs of Kingwood joined us as our administrative arm to help with the golf tournament as well as other logistical and administrative duties essential to our success. Thank you Christie Breazealle and all the good folks at the Clubs of Kingwood for all your help and expertise.Highland Threads
Highland Threads is a major sponsor of GAC. For a number of years, the Highland Threads family produced the Saturday dinner and auction. Today, the generosity of Everett and Randi Bernal make our Saturday dinner and auction a huge financial success.Kingwood Ladies Golf
Each year, the ladies of the Kingwood Ladies Golf Club show up early on tournament day to check in participants and make sure everyone gets to the right course with the right gift package. THANK YOU LADIES!
